Is ozone/activated oxygen really safe?
Activated oxygen occurs in nature and it is produced and used commercially in applications for sanitizing produce, waste and drinking water. ZZZCleaner is designed to keep the activated oxygen enclosed with whatever you are maintaining in the airtight bag, and, when the process is complete, the ozone turns back into regular oxygen when it comes in contact with air.
Can I use the ZZZCleaner on anything ?
If the item you wish to use Ozone on fits in the ZZZ Cleaner Bag, then the Ozone will kill the germs on it. It is not recommended to use any Ozone generator on any CPAP you own as it may void the manufacturers warranty.
Will health insurance cover the ZZZ Cleaner?
At this time the ZZZ Cleaner is not covered under health insurance.
Can an HSA or FSA account be used?
Yes, you can use your HSA or FSA account.
Is the ZZZ Cleaner a CPAP Cleaner?
You should be wary of any product that claims to be one. According to the FDA, to “clean” something, means to physically remove dirt, oil, bacteria, etc. This is usually done by scrubbing with soap and water or with another cleaning method. The ZZZ Cleaner helps maintain your accessories, without any scrubbing, nor having to dry your items. The advantage that Ozone has over other methods is that it can permeate to areas that would be very difficult to clean through other methods.
Are there supplies that have to be changed with the ZZZ Cleaner?
Yes, every six months of normal use, the carbon filter needs to be changed. The airtight bag should be replaced if it is no longer airtight. These items can be ordered at this link.
Is there a warranty on my ZZZ Cleaner?
Yes, there is a two-year warranty on your Cleaner. Please keep your proof of purchase showing the purchase date and contact us for a no cost replacement ZZZ Cleaner.
How often should I use the ZZZ Cleaner?
We recommend that The ZZZ Cleaner be used every day (or at least weekly) on any items that you use regularly. Regular use will kill germs and this will cut down on the risk of sinus infections by the user. We recommend sanitizing daily to reduce the risk of harmful bacteria growing in or on items, this can lead to respiratory illness. Bacteria can multiply exponentially within just one day. The ZZZ Cleaner will kill any bacteria the activated oxygen comes in contact with. It will not remove skin oils from item like a CPAP mask or cushion. You may wish to use a soft cloth to remove this manually.
Why is there a "clean" smell to my mask after using the ZZZ Cleaner?
The "clean" scent is sometimes described as similar to the air after a heavy rain or thunderstorm. This is because both are caused by ozone. Ozone occurs naturally after lightning storms, and is also how the ZZZ Cleaner maintains your equipment. If you wish to get rid of the smell, let the equipment sit out of the airtight bag for awhile, and/or you may turn on a fan for a couple of minutes to flush the scent from any items run through the ZZZ Cleaner cycle.
